Q: Who is Beazley?
A: Beazley offers a suite of gap protection products that helps employers broaden benefit options and helps protect employees against life's uncertainties. Insurance is underwritten by Beazley Insurance Company, Inc.

It is a subsidiary of Beazley Group, which was found in 1986. Q: What products does Beazley offer?
A: Beazley offers a suite of gap protection products that help cover expenses, protect assets, fill gaps or replace income. Each includes guarantee issue amounts and flexible benefit options - all offered employer-paid, employee-paid (voluntary) or a combination of the two. Products include:
- Critical Illness
- Supplemental Medical Expense (out-of-pocket)
- Limited Medical (fixed indemnity)
- Short Duration Disability
- Short Term Disability
- Accidental Death & Dismemberment
Benefits and range of options may vary by state. Premium will vary based on plan chosen. A waiting period for late entrants may apply. These policies are renewable at the option of the company.
The Critical Illness plan is a limited policy. The Critical Illness product is filed as a Non-Participating Specified Disease in North Carolina. The Portability benefit is filed as Continuation of Coverage in Oregon.
The Supplemental Medical Expense (out-of-pocket) plan is not a major medical plan and is not intended to cover medical expenses. This product is available if an employer has a major medical plan in place.
Q: Where is Beazley licensed and approved to sell products?
A: Beazley Insurance Company, Inc. is licensed to provide accident and health insurance in the District of Columbia and all states except Alabama. Products have been filed in 48 states and jurisdictions, and we have received state approvals in 68-90% of them (varies by product). Q: What producer support services does Beazley provide?
A: Beazley's insurance products are supplemented by support services, making it easy for you to quote, promote and implement the plan.
We provide you with an online rating and quoting engine (coupled with hands-on proposal support if needed), a timely producer appointment and registration process, and a dedicated new case specialist to assist you with onboarding new business. We also offer product training and marketing campaigns. In addition, our producer portal provides easy access to quote activity, active and pending cases, commissions, marketing materials, forms and more.
Q: How do I get started?
A: To request a quote or generate a proposal, contact our Sales Hotline at 1-877-503-5234. They will provide you with a Producer ID to register with Beazley, discuss plan design options and answer questions, as well as email you a quote within 24 hours. Once registered, you can get a quote via our self-directed rating tool.
Q: How do I register?
A: To register, go to http://www.beazleybenefits.com and click on Producer Registration. This will enable you to register with Beazley and to create a username and password for access to our Producer Portal. To do so, you will need your Producer ID and your Agency or Producer Name associated with your Producer ID profile. If you do not have a Producer ID or if you have forgotten it, contact 1-877-503-5234.
Q: Once I am registered, what can I do on the Producer Portal?
A: Go to http://www.beazleybenefits.com and log in with your username and password. On the portal, you will be able to manage quote activity (including request a quote, check status of a quote in process, or view outstanding proposals), manage group activity (including groups that are active, pending, renewing, terminated or declined), generate commission reports, and access marketing materials and forms from our Resource Center.
Q: How long does it take to get a quote? Where do I go to learn the status of a quote?
A: Once you have requested a quote, you will typically receive a proposal (or request for further information) within 24 hours. To check status, go to the Quotes section of the Producer Portal and click on Quotes In Process. There you can view a list of quotes that are in process but not yet complete. You can review the entire list, or search for a particular quote by group name or number. For a list of quotes that have been issued but not yet sold, click on Outstanding Proposals. Again, you may review the entire list, or search for a particular proposal by group name or number.
Q: How can I track the status of groups after they are sold?
A: To check status, go to the Groups section of the Producer Portal. There, you can view a list of your groups, including those that are Pending (sold but not yet implemented), Active (groups that have been implemented and are in force), Renewing (groups that are within 90 days of renewal), as well as groups that have been Terminated or Declined. You can review the entire list within each category, or search for a particular quote by group name or number. In addition, the portal provides definitions and explanation for group status. Q: Where do I go to find marketing materials to use with my customers?
A: To access marketing materials, forms and other public tools, go to the Resource Center section of the Producer Portal. There, you can access marketing materials and other key documents, such as product-specific tools, business and enrollment forms, as well as other important information. Note: The Resources Center includes general information about Beazley and our products. If you are looking for case-specific information, go to the Groups section (for a list of your groups) or the Commissions section (for a list of commission reports).
Q: Who do I call for hands-on support?
A: Our sales team can assist you with quote requests, discuss plan design options, offer suggested marketing materials, answer questions, etc. In addition, our dedicated new case specialist can assist you with onboarding new business. Q: What support services does Beazley provide for customers?
A: We also make it easy for your customers to administer their plan - from enrollment, to implementation, to billing, to claims. We begin by assigning one dedicated implementation specialist to assist with plan set-up. We balance this hands-on support with the convenience of easily accessible online tools to support enrollment, billing and claims.
- Enrollment: Our secure online enrollment tool is pre-populated with employee information, making it easy for employees to log on, review benefit options and select desired coverages. In addition, enrollment counselors are available by phone to address questions.
- Billing: We have the flexibility to handle all billing types, including online billing and detailed list billing. We make it easy for your customers to view bills, make payments and add/terminate employees.
- Claims: Claim forms for each product are conveniently located on the Portals, along with instructions for how to file a claim and what supporting documentation to provide.
In addition, our Employer Portal enables your customers to view and pay bills online, manage eligibility and other employee activity, as well as retrieve important documents, educational materials, forms and more. The Employee Portal enables their employees to view coverages, check claim status and access product information.

Q: Who are key members of Beazley's team?
A: The Beazley team is led by Paul Gulstrand. He has been in the Accident & Health insurance business for more than 30 years, in organizational leadership and sales leadership roles. He oversees sales, operations and underwriting functions (based in Minneapolis), as well as administrative and customer service functions (based in Tampa).
